KARACHI: Bollywood Superstars Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Amir Khan have come together in a pact, helping to relieve some of the financial pressures faced amongst filmmakers today.
According to media sources, filmmakers will pay a fixed amount to the stars for their staff. They will not be responsible for overheads which include drivers, makeup artistes, hair dressers and personal assistants.
The filmmakers took this decision when staff members started asking for reportedly unreasonable amounts on per day basis. The per day expenditure of Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan’s staff are approximately Rs. 40,000, while the per day expenses of Priyanka Chopra is about Rs. 75,000.
Sources added that beside the Khans who have their own production houses, Ajay Devgan, Hrithik Roshan, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor have also agreed to sign the pact.
Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Deepika Padukone are have yet to formally agree.
