KARACHI: Salman Khan’s first project with the Yash Raj banner “Ek Tha Tiger” has landed in trouble after Vikram Vashishtha, nephew of real life spy Late Ravindra Kaushik, sent a legal notice to the production company asking for a special screening of the film.
The promos of the film bear striking resemblance to Kaushik’s experiences in Pakistan and hence his family has sought legal assistance to either have a look at the original script or view the film before it releases.
But Yash Raj Films won’t screen the new film for the family of the former RAW agent Ravindra Kaushik.
However, a decision has been taken by the production house and director Kabir Khan to keep the film and its content away from public.
Kabir Khan proclaims, "I read about him in the papers. This is the first time I’ve heard of him. It’s an interesting story. But it’s not the story of my film."
Ravindra Kaushik was a former RAW agent who was caught and jailed in Pakistan. He eventually died in prison over there.
Though Khan won’t say any more, one gathers from a source that the film takes Salman on a completely different route from Kaushik’s story.
"Kaushik was caught and jailed in Pakistan. He died in prison across there. Salman’s character comes to an entirely different end. That’s why the film is called "Ek Tha Tiger". He is like an unsolved mystery" sources added.
The upcoming Salman-Katrina romantic thriller set for release on 15th August is expected to bring the sizzling pair once again after a long gap of four years. After ‘Yuvraaj’ the Salman-Katrina pair will set the screen on fire for the third time.
