KARACHI: Cuba Gooding Jr. is a wanted man, wanted by the police that are for battery. The Oscar winning actor allegedly shoved a female bartender against a wall at The Old Absinthe House in New Orleans in the early hours of this morning and police have now been ordered to arrest him on sight.
A misdemeanor battery warrant was issued following the incident in which Gooding became upset when some customers at the bar started taking his picture, according to gossip website TMZ.
New Orleans police said the incident happened early on Tuesday morning at a bar on raucous Bourbon Street. A female bartender told police that Gooding became agitated when customers recognized him and asked him to take photos with them.
“He was apparently getting rowdy when people were trying to take photos, and he got aggravated,” Braden continued. “The bartender tried to calm him down, at which time he allegedly pushed her, and before he left the bar he pushed her again.”
Gooding is in town filming the Lee Daniels-directed drama “The Butler”, which features a cast ranging from Oprah Winfrey to Robin Williams.
Gooding won a Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for his portrayal of an arrogant but loyal professional football player in the 1996 movie “Jerry Maguire.”
