KARACHI: Actress Drew Barrymore has reportedly signed on to direct Warner Brothers' end-of-the-world drama ‘The End.’
The actress turned filmmaker’s last movie was her directorial debut in 2009 ‘Whip It’.
The movie focuses on three separate story lines, which include a radio DJ in London who is determined to see out his broadcasting career until Earth's final day.
The script for the film has been written by Aron Eli Coleite.
The film will also focus on a father in Tokyo attempting to reach his wife and baby before
the world comes to a close, as well as a teenage couple in the US who can't agree on which of their families to visit before the end.
Barrymore, this time, however, will not star in the movie.
The 37-year-old beauty has two other projects lined up to direct in future.
No date has yet been announced for the start of production.
