KARACHI: There is a buzz doing the rounds that “Chennai Express” which is a project by Shahrukh Khan and Rohit Shetty sold for 1.05 billion.
According to media sources, "Shah Rukh and a film corporation are partnering on this one. Chances are that they will only sell the satellite, home video and music rights and actually keep the overseas and Indian theatrical rights with themselves."
Sources added, Shetty’s last venture “Bol Bachchan” also hits with a fabulous price.
Chennai Express is a romantic film. The movie leading cast features Khan along with Deepika Padukone.
The story revolves around one man’s journey from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and his experiences along the way.
The movie is scheduled to be released in January 2013.
