KARACHI: James Cameron is taking his expertise in 3D filming to teach Chinese moviemakers how to take advantage of the modern technology.
Avatar director Cameron’s 3D sci-fi movie became the highest-grossing film in Hollywood history in 2009, gaining more than $2.7 billion worldwide.
The director is said to be busy working on a second Avatar film, which will be set underwater and due to be releasing in 2015.
Currently he is set to share his knowledge with others after launching a new branch of his company, Cameron Pace Group, titled Cpg China Division.
The maestro in 3-D filming has also recently given his hit movie Titanic a 3D makeover.
“We’re not going to tell Chinese film makers how to make movies. We are going to help them
make a transition to 3D production technology as cost effectively as possible, and in a way
that doesn't inhibit creativity,” said Cameron.
