KARACHI: Singer Pink has reportedly turned down judging roles of ‘The X-Factor’, ‘American Idol’ and ‘The Voice’ because she thought one can’t be honest on TV.
The outspoken 32-year-old singer said she refused to take part in the reality TV shows since “you can’t be honest” and thought the public would hate her if she voiced her true feelings because there is only room for one ‘Mr. Nasty’.
“I was offered ‘The Voice’ in Australia plus ‘American Idol’ and ‘The X Factor’. I said no because you can’t be honest,” she told the media.
“People will hate you if you’re honest. Simon Cowell is the only person who gets away with it because he’s got an accent. And he’s a man,” she added.
The ‘So What’ hit-maker also revealed that being a mother is proving far more emotional than she expected and confessed she cries “daily.”
Her sixth album ‘The Truth About Love’ is due in September this year.
Pink and Eminem have reportedly recorded an “alternative club banger” together.
