KARACHI: Michael Jackson was apparently convinced his chimpanzee named ‘Bubbles’ had an instinct for being able to tell who in his family was trying to take advantage of his wealth.
“He is a good judge of character,” Michael reportedly told his staff.
The late ‘King of Pop’ is said to have barred siblings from his Neverland ranch if the pet did not like them.
“Bubbles often would be a gauge for Michael to decide who should stay and go,” a former housekeeper told the media.
The revelation came around the time when his family endured an argument over his millions of fortune; three years after his death.
His ex-employee said Jackson would react to Bubbles response to his various relatives.
Brothers Jermaine and Randy were said to be among those regularly snubbed.
Jermaine recently defected from a family letter criticising his Estate.
Jermaine posted a long letter on his twitter account confirming the move.
“I rescind my signature from the letter which was sent to the Estate, and which should never have gone public,’ he wrote.
