KARACHI: Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh feels like a debutant as he gears up for his return in international cricket career through the Twenty20 (T20) format.
"It feels as if I am making my debut. I have always believed that T20 is the best format for my comeback," Singh said.
The left-hander cricketer is overjoyed at his selection in the World T20 Championship and the preceding two-match series against New Zealand.
"It is an emotional day for me. I was very happy after my selection in the preliminary squad, but now I am over the moon," the star cricket said.
Terming the T20 format as ideal for him at the moment, Singh said, “I am not yet ready for 50-over or Test cricket. The demands of the longer format are much more rigorous on the body.”
About the chances of his comeback in longer format he said, “I will take a call in October when there is a break."
