KARACHI: Aamir Khan will return with a special episode of his social-issue-based show ‘Satyamev Jayate’ on August 15, the Independence Day of India.
The show officially ended on July 29 with Khan revisiting all issues brought out over the past 12 episodes. However, the channel has decided to record a special episode titled ‘Satyamev Jayate Ka Safar’ to put forth a record of how the show made an impact on the society over the course of 13 weeks.
Uday Shankar, CEO of Star India said, “The show focused on compelling stories that raised the bar for TV programming. With the kind of feedback we had received, we felt that it was important to thank our viewers for their support and participation.”
Satyamev Jayate received amazing response from all over the world and has managed to collect over 80 million rupees in donation so far.
“It’s important for people to know how much money was collected and where it has been channelised. This special episode will be the best way to bid farewell to the first season,” Uday concluded.
