ekthatigerKARACHI: The wait is over for all Salman Khan fans as his highly anticipated movie “Ek Tha Tiger” releases today. The film will be screened in 3000 screens all over India, marking the largest domestic release for a Bollywood film.

Khan's much awaited movie has received an earth-shattering opening at the Box Office in India. The theatres across the country screening Ek Tha Tiger were swarming with movie fans within and outside in the morning shows.

Multiplexes have been quick to cash in on the long weekend by hiking ticket prices by 12 to 16 percent, a move that has been condemned by Khan.

Trade experts are convinced that this Kabir Khan directed film is sure to set a new record at the Box Office with its first day collections.

The advance booking for Khan's movie is also extraordinary across India. Girish Wankhede Spokesperson for Cinemax Cinema said, “Our first day advance booking for the film is about 80 per cent. Besides after Singh Is King which had 28 shows in a day, ETT will have 27 shows.”

The trade experts are anticipating the film will touch 100 crores in the opening weekend. Trade analyst Amod Mehra said, “The film will collect 30 cr on the first day in 3300 screens. The film also has the potential to touch 200 cr.”

Khan delivered a hat trick at the box office with Dabangg, Ready and Bodyguard, all three of which earned over Rs 100 cr. Needless to say, expectations are sky high for Ek Tha Tiger.
