KARACHI: Pakistan Islamic Medical Association, Karachi Chapter has urged the Punjab Health Department authorities to immediately reinstate the suspended doctors demanding raise in salary and revision in service structure.
Dr Usman Tariq, a PIMA -Karachi representative said suspension of some of the prominent doctors, belonging to Young Doctors Forum, spearheading struggle for justice and merit, in an era of democracy was beyond comprehension.
"This is all the more regrettable as the doctors had continued to attend the patients despite their protest that began a fortnight ago," he said.
The PIMA official expressing absolute support to the cause of young doctor's said disciplinary action under false pretext of misconduct is extremely regrettable.
He also expressed his concern that not only genuine demands of doctors were being delayed but coercive tactics were being adopted against a prominent section of a society that has exercise its right to agitate for a just cause.
