QUETTA: Additional Session Judge Quetta Zulfiqar Ali Naqvi along with his driver and security guard was gunned down here on Thursday morning.
Police said that the Additional Session Judge riding his official car along with driver and security guard left his house in GOR Colony and was on his way to Session Court when unknown armed men riding bike sprayed volley of bullets on the car.
"As a result of indiscriminate firing, the judge, his driver and security guard received multiple bullet wounds and succumbed to their injuries".
The assailants managed to escape from the scene. The police rushed to the site and cordoned off the entire area to track down the attackers.
Police while quoting preliminary investigation said that apparently, it was incident of targeted killing. Police found bullets of Kalashnikov. Further probe was underway.
It was also known that a police operation has been launched and raids were being conducted in different areas while some suspected persons were also taken into custody who were being interrogated.
Balochistan Bar Association and lawyers leaders strongly condemned the incident and demanded arrest of the killers.
