ISLAMABAD: Sindh Provincial Minister for Industry and Commerce Rauf Siddiqui said that persons who involved in factory fire incident in Karachi will be identified with in 24 hours.
Talking to Radio Pakistan, the provincial minister said that after the investigation within twenty-fours hours, it will come in front who was involved in the fire incident adding the eyewitnesses have told that the labourers were not allowed to go outside the factory before extinguishing fire as the doors and windows of the factory had been closed after them.
He said first thing is that Ministry of Industry and Commerce has been assigned to provide infrastructure and issue NOC to any factory besides allotting plot to it.
Rauf Siddiqui said that according to the act 1934, Labour Department should regularize and inspect a factory and therefore, it becomes a provincial subject.
Health and safety inside the factory, and the number of labours are mentioned in the chapter 3 of the act 1934, and especially children and women cannot work in the cotton factory, he remarked.
He said that Civil Defence gives permission and regularly monitor the factory at any time.
