Sunni Tehreek, Jamiat Mashaikh declare suicide attacks ‘haram’, warn terrorists of retaliation
THATTA: Declaring bomb attacks and other acts of terrorism as un-Islamic and against the Sharia, the Sunni Tehreek and Jamiat Mashaikh Pakistan have warned terrorists of retaliation if they did not stop attacks at the shrines of Muslim saints in Pakistan.
“We are prepared to offer any sacrifice and fight against terrorists if they did not stop terrorism,” Pir Syed Ghulam Jeelani, the patron of Jamiat Mashaikh Ahl-e-Sunnat Pakistan and spiritual leader of Jamaat-e-Qadri, said while speaking at the annual Urs of Pir Syed Zainul Abideen held at the shrine of Noorai Shareef organized by Jamaat Qadri Jeelani on Sunday.
Pir Syed Ghulam Jeelani said the terrorists are playing with the emotions of Muslims through suicide bomb attacks under a conspiracy.
“They are targeting shrines and other holy places but now there must be an end to such acts. We are not afraid and will not retreat.”
Sunni Tehreek chief Sarwat Aijaz Qadri, Pir Khalid Sultan, member Islamic Ideology Council, Manzoor Mashori, Allama Farooque Jan and others also spoke on the occasion.
The gathering passed a resolution declaring suicide bombing and other acts of terrorism as “haram” and against Islam.
