KARACHI: C.V Maersk Wyoming and M.T Al-Soar-II carrying containers and diesel oil were allotted berths at Port Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Sunday, March 20.
Meanwhile three more ship scheduled to load/offload containers and cement also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy remained at the Port at 62% on Sunday where a total of eight ships namely, C.V Maersk Wyoming, M.V Hyang Ro Bong, M.V Sapphire-II, M.V Four Nabucco, M.T Enrico levoli, M.T SC Shenzhen, M.T Al-Soor-II and M.V Nikolos are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, cement, palm oil, chemicals, diesel oil and coal respectively during last 24 hours.
Cargo handling operation were carried out smoothly at Port where a cargo volume of 64,624 tonnes, comprising 52,109 tonnes imports and 12,515 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1,797 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
Two ships C.V Maersk Wyoming and M.T SC Shenzhen sailed out to sea on Monday morning, while two more ships M.V Nikolos and M.T Enrico levoli are expected to sail on same day afternoon.
Four ships C.V CMA CGM Massi, C.V CSAV Ranquil, M.V Alaska-II and M.T Anette Kosan scheduled to load/offload containers and cement are expected to take berth at Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Monday, March 21.
Three ships C.V CMA CGM Mozart, C.V Deira and C.V Al-Mutanabbi are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday, March 22.
