KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange will introduce RSA SecuriD tokens for the authentication of KATS users to address the ever changing information security trends and standards in the stock market.

According to KSE here Monday, this will help to further strengthen the security initiatives taken by the Exchange and gain customer confidence.

The RSA SecuriD is an industry leading one time password (OTP) solution that displays a unique identification code, which is used as password.

The benefits for using RSA SecuriD, included, reliable user identification than reusable passwords, eliminating the need to periodically change VPN password and complement the security of remote users identification to KATS.

In addition, this will also ensure that the user being logged on is the one who has the token and authorized by the member for particular terminal. The tokens will be provided by the Exchange at no cost.
