ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira on Wednesday urged unity in the nation and Ummah for the glory of Islam.
The minister said that Muslim could not tolerate any sacrilegious material against the Holy Prophet (SAW). " There are no other opinion on this issue", he said.
He said the entire cabinet and Prime Minister will participate in the "Shan-e-Rasool (SAW) Conference on Friday.
He said the Ummah were hurt by the anti-Islam movie but it was time Muslim should shun all types of differences and forge greater unity to stop such unfortunate incidents in future.
He said holiday announced on Friday was only to observe the day as " Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool" to express our faith and love to Holy Prophet (SAW) and condemn anti-Islam film.
"We have requested the civilized world to stop such condemnable and intolerable acts and President will raise this issue at the forum of UN in his address".
Kaira said the nation need to promote this unity for which media should play its constructive role and convince people for a peaceful agitation.
