QUETTA: The Balochistan government has imposed safety duty on minerals except gold, copper and radioactive.
According to a handout issued here on Wednesday, Provincial Mines and Minerals Department has issued orders to impose Rs5 per ton safety duty on all minerals. However, gold, copper and radioactive mineral will be exempted from the safety duty.
The official press release further said that the collected money from the safety duty would be spent for the safety measures and training of mines workers.
