ISLAMABAD: Due to heavy fog Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway has been closed for any traffic, IG Motorway Dr Wasim Kausar told Aaj TV.
The motorway was dangerous for traffic due to low visibility and has been closed from Pehawar to Rashkai interchange and from Burhan interchange to Peshawar, he said.

Thick fog engulfs twin cities
ISLAMABAD: Thick fog engulfed the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad on Monday thus severely disrupting daily lives of the residents who were already hit hard due to low gas pressure throughout the weekdays.
Visibility dropped to dangerous levels comepelling motorists to drive with hazards lights and utmost care, resulting in traffic choas in various parts of the twin cities.
Chaotic scenes were witnessed at bus terminals, airport and railway stations in twin cities and khyber Pukhtunkhwa as passengers helplessly stranded to railway stations and airports and Traffic Police issued precautionary advice to motorists to remain extra careful to aviod any untoward incident.
Thick fog on Monday also affected school children as scores of children were seen reaching their alma meter quite late due to dangerous fog.
Met office has predicted an increase in thick fog in coming days in the Punjab, Upper Sindh and lower parts of KP.
