WAZIRABAD: Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs, and PPP Punjab President Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo has said issues of the party workers will be resolved on priority.
Presiding over a meeting of PPP divisional chapter at the residence of PPP Gujranwala Division President Chaudhary Ijaz Ahmad Saman, Wattoo said workers were an asset of the party and he would strengthen the party with utmost efforts.
The minister said he had decided to join the party on the assassination of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, adding that he had joined the PPP forever.
He said history of the PPP was full of great sacrifices and martyrdoms for the federation and democracy, adding that President Asif Ali Zardari had worked for politics of reconciliation.
Wattoo said the PPP-led government was going to complete its constitutional tenure under the political vision of President Zardari to serve the nation and democracy.
The PPP leader said he would complete the wishes and expectations of the party, adding that he would fulfil the mission given by the leadership.
He said President Zardari was the founder of the reconciliation politics and the PML-Q, MQM, ANP, FATA and independent members were with the PPP. He said the President had strengthened the democratic process in the country taking all parties on board. He added workers and office-bearers had supported policies of the party leadership.
State Minister and former PPP Punjab president Imtiaz Safdar Waraich, PPP local leaders including Samina Paganwala, Ghazanfar Ali Gil and PPP Punjab general secretary Tanvir Ashraf Kaira were also present.
