KARACHI: Pakistan’s first full fledged 3D animated music video “Waadey” sang and composed by Tahir Ali Shah has been released. Tahir, former VJ (Oxygene channel) and singer has given a number of successful hits in the past like “Silsilay – The Early Days”, “Kaanch”, “Pal Bhar” and “Aurat Aur Mard”.
The talented Pakistani animator and film-maker Malik Gillani animated and directed the music video. He has also worked on many national and international projects like “Commander Safeguard”, “Dettol Warriors”, “Bankay Mian Ki Qawali” and freshly a Hollywood movie “Mega Spider”.
The idea for the animated music video came almost a year back, when Gillani uploaded a teaser of his animated short film “Crumbled” on YouTube and Facebook. Many people praised and showed interest towards animated short movies in Pakistan including Tahir Ali Shah. They together decided to come up with a full 3D animated music video, the first of its kind in Pakistan.
Based in London, the talented singer recently got married, and is working to highlight the image of Pakistan.
