Steve Jobs’ biopic to be premiered at ‘Sundance Film Festival 2013’

KARACHI: “jObs”, the first film about the life of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, is announced to be premiered at the closing night of “Sundance Film Festival 2013” next month.
Ashton Kutcher (Two and a Half Men) will be playing the role of the late Jobs in the flick about his rise and survival from a college dropout to one of the most valued creative entrepreneurs of the century.
The biopic venture also features Josh Gad as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Matthew Modine as former Apple CEO John Sculley, Ahna O'Reilly playing Chris-Ann Brennan, Jobs' girlfriend and the mother of his daughter Lisa.
The movie will cover the life of Jobs from 1971 to 2000. The period includes the founding of “Apple”, forming of NeXT and “Pixar” and a comeback to the company when Apple acquired “NeXT”.
The production of the movie began in June 2012 with three days of shooting at Jobs’ childhood home in Los Altos, California. However, there is no news about its theatrical release yet.
Apart from “jObs”, the event will also showcase some of the most highly anticipated seventeen films and eleven documentaries of the coming year.
The event will take place from January 17-27 in Utah, United States.
