Vogue editor Anna Wintour in running for US ambassador to UK

KARACHI: Famous editor-in-chief of Vogue magazine Anna Wintour is rumored to be one of the contenders for the post of US ambassador to the UK.
Wintour is the top fashion magazine editor of Vogue and has been a huge supporter of the Democrats and sources suggested she helped in raising huge funds for both Obama election campaigns. Born in England, Wintour is also a US citizen and is being considered for this post for France as well.
She not only hosted fundraising dinners for the campaigns but also creatively brought a host of designers who produced low budget accessories with Obama’s images to create more interest and attention for the youth and the industry people as well.
Her competition for the post are Matthew Barzun, finance chairman of Obama’s re-election campaign as sources suggest he is interested in the post in the UK and Mark Larsy is opting for France.
According to sources, Wintour did not answer any questions regarding the matter at the premier of a documentary based on her life recently.
