Transformer’s Shia LaBeouf to make Broadway debut

KARACHI: Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf will make his Broadway debut in a revival of the play "Orphans", media sources reported on Tuesday.
The play was premiered in 1983 and is about the story of two orphaned brothers living in a decrepit Philadelphia row house, who decide to kidnap a wealthy man. LaBeouf plays one brother and Alec Baldwin the target.
LaBeouf’s previous films include “Transformers,” "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" and "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" and "Lawless."
During the original run of the play in 1985, Terry Kinney played Treat, Kevin Anderson appeared as Phillip and John Mahoney took to the stage as the mobster.
Shia LaBeouf’s first Broadway endeavor will begin with preview performances in March at the Schoenfeld Theater. The play will officially open in April.
The third actor in the primary cast has yet to be announced.
