Martin Scorsese to direct Bill Clinton documentary for HBO

KARACHI: Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese is making a documentary on former United States president Bill Clinton who was in office from 1993 to 2001, for HBO, the network announced Monday.
The documentary is said to be produced by Steve Bing, and will be Scorsese's fourth joint venture with HBO. Scorsese has directed many classics in the past and finally won a Best Director Oscar for "The Departed" (2006). Scorsese had earlier made documentaries "Public Speaking" and "George Harrison: Living in the Material World" for HBO.
The film will be made with Clinton's "full cooperation". It will focus on Clinton's viewpoints on history, culture, politics and the world.
According to reports, the film will include Clinton's work with the William J. Clinton Foundation, which promotes global health, stronger economies, healthier childhoods and protecting the environment.
