pak_china_flag_400BEIJING: A 100-member youth delegation comprising people representing various segments of society belonging to different parts of China left here for Pakistan on Friday.

The delegation is visiting as per decision taken by Pakistan and China during Chinese President Hu Jintao official visit to Pakistan in 2006.

As per decision, 100 youths from both sides will visit each other countries with the objective to better acquaint with the history and rich culture and achievements made by Pakistan and China in various sectors.

Talking to the leader and members of the delegation prior to their department for Islamabad, Ambassador Masood Khan said that Pakistan and China enjoy very close strategic partnership adding that the two countries are committed to work for establishment of peace in the region and beyond.

"We are committed to fight against terrorism, extremis and separatism", he observed.

He said that both the countries are supporting each other views on various regional and international issues on different forums.

Tracing the history of Pakistan, China friendship,  as well as cooperation in various areas including economy, Ambassador Masood Khan said that the strong foundation of friendship was laid by the forefathers of both the countries.

Time is now ripe to transfer the legacy of shining history of friendship to the younger generations, he observed.

He said that the visit will be beneficial to learn more about Pakistan as  the youths  would shoulder the future responsibility of their country.

During their week long stay in Pakistan,  the delegation will  meet  Pakistani leadership, visit higher learning educational institutions in Islamabad and Karachi, besides holding interaction with their peers in both the metropolis.

Speaking on the occasion the leader of the delegation and Chairman All China Youth Federation Mr. Ni Jian said that Premier Wen Jiabao during his last month successful visit to Pakistan said that our friendship would pass from generation to generation.
