PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Barrister Masood Kausar Tuesday asked the students to make best use of the available opportunities of acquiring knowledge, build themselves as well-rounded personalities and equip them with the qualities of desired standards to take the future responsibilities in an honourable way.
Addressing the cadets of Wana Scouts Cadet College at Wana during his visit to South Waziristan Agency, the Governor has further reminded the cadets that knowledge is power and its acquisition is meant to develop the power of mind and heart which is must to act as ideal leaders of the professions, which they are going to join in their practical lives.
Maj. Gen. Nazir Ahmad Butt,GOC,9 Div was also present on this occasion, besides Senator Saleh Shah and MNA Maulana Abdul Malik, the faculty members of the institution and senior civil and military officials stationed at the agency headquarter while the Principal of the Cadet College, Nasir Saeed Khattak welcomed the Governor and highlighted their working and achievements
The Governor while pointing towards cadets further stressed that being pioneers, they will be called the legends for the coming lots of cadets of the institution and therefore, they must work hard; equally concentrate upon their academic and non-academic pursuits to prove themselves as the real role model for the others.
Highlighting the importance of education, the Governor also mentioned quotations of certain renowned personalities and said that they, indeed are being offered ample opportunities of developing their qualities of mind and heart, besides ensuring physical fitness to prepare them to act as imaginative for meeting the future challenges.
"You are lucky for having the opportunity of studying in this quality institution and be also mindful of those who could not make this possible because of one way or the other way and they also owe a lot to them", he said.
Talking about the infrastructure facilities at the institution, the Governor said that the present premises of the institution are a temporary arrangement and the completion of the new building of the institution is now a matter of months.
Earlier on arrival at the college, the Governor was welcomed by the management and principal of the college and briefed him about the working of the institution.
