KARACHI: A US judge has rejected Apple’s appeal to ban Samsung’s smart phones that violated its patents.

Sources state that the judge said there was not enough evidence that Apple’s sales had been affected by the infringed patents. The judge also maintained that the phones follow a board range of features and only a part was covered by Apple’s patents and the phone also incorporated a few protected functions.

After Apple won damages from Samsung of $1.05 billion in patent infringement Apple has suffered many other cases running all over the World. Sales ban sought by Apple on Samsung’s Nexus and Galaxy Tab 10.1 has also been lifted in the US in October.

Analysts suggest Apple to hold talks and sort out their patents issue as with time it will bring up more technology driven devices and they might not have patents to all of the product’s requirements. Last year Apple came to a 10-year license contract with HTC which ended their share of patent battles.

Both the companies are fighting legal battles over patents in more than 10 countries.
