KARACHI: After producing “Guzaarish” in 2010, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was focusing heavily on production, but the filmmaker got back to direction with “Ram Leela” starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
The film’s shooting started a few weeks ago and was apparently interrupted on Sunday.Save
This happened when members from the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) entered the shooting spot, claiming to settle the non-payment of workers.
According to Indian media reports, Prem Singh Thakur from FWICE's vigilance department said the payment of the workers had apparently been pending for quite a while, with numerous complaints being lodged for the same.
So, Thakur went on the sets and discussed the matter with Bhansali who then assured Thakur that the dues will be cleared and the shoot resumed.
Ram Leela being produced under the banner of SLB Films also stars Richa Chadda, Abhimanyu Shekhar Singh, and Shweta Salve and is slated for release later next year.
