KARACHI: Pakistan were 172-4 after they lost the wicket of Misbah-ul Haq on 16 in the first ODI between Pakistan and India in at Chennai. Shoaib Malik has come in to bat. Nasir Jamshed is on 83 (107).
Indian bowler Ishant Sharma took 1 wicket giving away 31 runs. Virat Kohli went back to the pavilion after he sprained his right ankle while bowling.
Ashwin took no wickets for 27 runs.
Inida need 48 to win in40.5 overs with 55 balls remaining.
India lost five wickets just for 29 runs. G Gambhir’s wicket was taken by Mohammad Irfan, Gambhir made eight ruins. Junaid Khan took the wicket of V Sehwag. Having facing 11 balls, Sehwag made four runs.
Kohli and Yuvraj Singh were both dismissed by Junaid Khan.
RG Sharma’S was dimissed in third slip and is caught out by Mohammad Hafeez. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat.
Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and decided to field at first one day international (ODI) at Chennai, media reported on Sunday.
According to the details, captain Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss and offered India to bat first.
Toss was delayed by an hour due to rain and damp pitch. The pitch was covered with grass and the overcast conditions made the decision at the toss straightforward.
Despite the delay, there was no reduction in the number of overs.
