ISLAMABAD: The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Tuesday rejected the new CNG pricing formula terming it illogical and against the interests of the CNG sector.
"As a first step, this decision will be challenged at the Ministry of Petroleum and Oil and Gas Regulator Authority (OGRA).
Later, protests would be organized to meet the demand, said Chairman Supreme Council APCNGA, Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha.
In a statement issued here, he asserted that the latest CNG pricing decision is one-sided and irrational in which demand for uniform gas prices and taxation as well as right to just profit margin were not accommodated.
He said that the sub-committee of the ECC formed to resolve the CNG issue did not take the stakeholders into confidence before announcing pricing formula.
Ghiyas Paracha said that no CNG operator can continue business, while observing the terms and conditions of OGRA.
