LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif handed away keys of more than 100 modern houses to the flood victims in Miran Mullan locality of Muzaffargarh.
The local and foreign donors, representatives from financial institutions and diplomats also attended the ceremony, says a handout issued here on Sunday.
DG PDMA Khalid Sherdil said that more than 100 houses had been built in Miran Mullan locality where electricity, water, sewerage, masjid, school, play ground and dispensary would be available. During the construction of houses, check and balance, and the quality of material were given priority at every level, he added.
He disclosed that local donors are including Naimat Trust, Benro group and Inter Group had completed another 300 model houses which would soon be handed over to the flood stricken people.
Khalid Sherdil said that chairman Maple Leaf cement Saeed Sehgal was being awarded gold medal for carrying out timely renovation of Jinnah Barrage.
