On Wednesday, Pakistan's IT Minister Syed Aminul Haque announced the launch of Tech Destination Pakistan, an initiative which aims to promote the country's information technology industry.
He also mentioned that this improved performance has been acknowledged by the State Bank of Pakistan, expressing his optimism that the IT exports will cross the target of $2 billion by the end of the year.
Haque said that due to the investor’s friendly policies of the government, there was a significant presence of multinational companies operating in Technology and Telecom sector of the country.
He said that the work on the drainage was on the fast-track in accordance with the orders of the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan in coordination with stakeholders.
Orders to develop the app were issued by the federal cabinet.
“WhatsApp should have taken opinion from users before updating its policy and no company is allowed to impose its decisions to its users through constraints.”
