The OIC's statement follows strong condemnation of Israel by Saudi Arabia over what it called "blatant attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the sanctity of Al-Aqsa mosque".
But in January of this year, the boycotting countries agreed to restore ties with Qatar following a flurry of diplomatic activity by the administration of former US president Donald Trump.
Saudi Arabia is stuck in a military quagmire in Yemen, which has been locked in conflict since the rebels took control of the capital Sanaa in 2014 and went on to seize much of the north.
