“No curricular activity (i.e. sports etc) shall be conducted in those districts where COVID-19 positivity ratio is more than 20 cases,” reads the notification shared by Education Minister Murad Raas on twitter.
“Lahore, Gujrat, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Sialkot, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad subject to resumption of normalcy of education activities,” it added.
The notification read that districts that have a higher COVID-19 positivity ratio, such as more than 20 cases in the last 24 hours, will be subject to this rule.
The districts with such positivity rates are reported to be Lahore, Gujrat, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Sialkot, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad.
The provincial department stated that students from all the educational institutes will have to attend classes on alternative days, while the student ratio must remain at 50% on each day.
"Daily report on COVID-19 monitoring shall be carried out as per previous practice," the notification said.
She said that the Sehat Sahulat Card holders would be able to avail free treatment services up to Rs. 720,000 from all empanelled hospitals across the country.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Yasmin said the initiative had been launched in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
The Education Minister told that annual examination 2021 of the BISEs for matric and intermediate classes would start across the province from June next.
