The 270,000-bpd DU-2 CDU and 92,000-bpd coker are the first units to begin restarting since both of the refinery's CDUs were shut by a pump seal failure on Feb. 14, the sources said.

Shell shut the two primary fuel production units, the gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracker (FCC) and the diesel-producing hydrocracker, on Monday, one day after the refinery's crude distillation units (CDUs) were shut.

Brazil's Raizen to buy Louis Dreyfus sugar unit Biosev

Raizen said in a securities filling it will pay 3.6 billion reais ($670.34 million) to Biosev shareholders, which will also receive 3.5% of Raizen preferred shares, plus 1.49% of redeemable shares.
The deal boosts Raizen's credential as the world's largest sugar maker, and one of the largest ethanol producers.

Shell Norco Louisiana gasoline unit shut Friday to repair leak

The 112,000 bpd RCCU, which converts residual crude oil into unfinished gasoline, was shut to repair a leak, the sources said.
A Shell spokesman did not have information immediately available about operations at the Norco refinery on Monday morning.
