Mexican economy grows 1.1pc in August from July, recovery slows

Latin America's second-biggest economy grew 1.1% month-on-month in seasonally adjusted terms in August.
The economy contracted 9.4% from August of 2019, INEGI said. That compared to the poll forecast for an 8.2% contraction.

The Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement on Geospatial Cooperation (BECA) will allow India access to topographical, nautical and aeronautical data for better accuracy of weapons like missiles and drones.
The two ministers expressed satisfaction that agreement of BECA will be signed during the visit.

Brazil inflation, interest rates outlook ticks higher

It is the first time since March that the central bank's regular 'FOCUS' survey of around 100 economists has pegged inflation this year at 3%.
The central bank is widely expected to keep the Selic rate on hold at a record low 2.00% later this week.

German govt raises 2020 GDP forecast to -5.5pc

The government now expects GDP to shrink 5.5% in 2020 compared to a previous estimate for a 5.8% decline.
The German economy contracted by 9.7% in the second quarter as household spending collapsed at the height of the pandemic.
