Silver price hits new high

Silver price on Wednesday mounted to a new peak of Rs 705 per tola on the local market, said traders. Silver price jumped to the fresh high from Rs 700 per tola - a previous high level of the commodity on the local market, they said, adding the price of silver per 10-gram also reached a record level of Rs 604 up from Rs 600.
Gold price came to Rs 43, 100 per tola from Rs 43, 400 while the price of gold per 10-gam slid to Rs 36, 942 from Rs 37, 300, they said and added the global price of yellow metal was quoted $1334 an ounce down from $1336.
