Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan Sunday said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the two brother Muslim countries are enjoying stronger religious, cultural and social relations since decades.
Talking as a chief guest at the Islamic International Relief Organisation (IIRO) (Iftar project) distribution ceremony for poor families here, he said that Saudi Arabia always stood shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan in every critical situation.
"People of Pakistan always believe Saudi Arabia as a close friend and their second home", he said. He said IIRO had helped Pakistanis in the past in different spectrum of life to meet out the crisis of poverty and hunger.
"It is sense of satisfaction that IIRO has given preferences to the Internally Displaced Person (IDPs) in Iftar project, residing in the territory of the Capital and its adjoining area as well", he said. It is pertinent to note that the Iftar project has been started since August 17 and five hundred people have been served up till now.
