City Government has started apprehending beggars and over 500 were caught from various areas, chowrangis, shopping and business centres on Ist of Ramazan and deposited them at Edhi Village Super Highway.
With the start of Ramazan, the city government on receipt of arrival of professional beggars in the city, launched a drive through city wardens. Besides creating problems to citizens, these were also involved in certain crimes.
Meanwhile over 1500 City Warden of city government, started working in the city to control traffic in aid to traffic police. They have been deployed from Tower to Sohrab Goth, Shahrah-e-Pakistan, M.A. Jinnah Road, Tower to Airport, Quaidabad, Landhi, Tariq Road, Bahadurabad, Corridors I-II and III, North Karachi Road-5000 besides city's other major thoroughfares, parking lots and commercial centres as well internal areas of Saddar.
