The profit after tax of DG Khan Cement (DGKC) has declined to Rs 22.146 million in the quarter ended September 30, 2010 as compared to Rs 584.619 million earned in the corresponding period in 2009.
The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Wednesday declared that the company's earning per share has declined to Re 0.06 in the period under review against Rs 1.60 in the same period a year back.
According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE), the company's sales declined to Rs 3.527 billion in this quarter against Rs 4.592 billion in the same quarter last year. The cost of sales reduced to Rs 2.849 billion against Rs 3.275 billion. The company's profit before taxation declined to Rs 25.547 billion in this quarter against Rs 489.808 billion in the same quarter last year.
