Total turnover was 71,282,600, which was lower than yesterday's turnover by around 7.5 million shares. Among BRIndex30 companies, Sui Southern Gas was the most traded company with turnover of 18,096,000. It was also the most traded company in stocks exchange. Among BRIndex30 companies, 12 companies were up and 18 were down.
Among BR Sector Indices, BR Oil and Gas Index was the leading index by volume with total turnover of 31,060,450. Most traded company in this index was of course Sui Southern Gas with turnover of 18,096,000. This index remained positive for most of the trading time becoming negative only in last few minutes. It closed at 2,945.08 points with net change of 1.90 points.
Second highest BR Sector Index by volume was BR Technology and Communication Index with total turnover of 16,712,000. Most of this turnover was contributed by TRG Pakistan, which recorded a volume of 11,110,500. This index remained positive for most of the trading time but became negative in last hour of trading. It closed at 1,243.15 points with net change of 1.74 points. Third highest BR Sector by volume was BR Commercial Banks Index with turnover of 12,111,900. Bank of Punjab was the most traded company in this index with turnover of 5,029,000. This index showed a trend similar to that of BRIndex30. It closed at 6,958.96 points with net change of -34.06 points.
