Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan's chief Saad Hussain Rizvi released from jail

He has been released from Kot Lakhpat jail.
He was arrested on April 12 by Lahore police.
The government will present a resolution on the expulsion of the French ambassador in the National Assembly today, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid announced.

Internet services restored in Lahore after five days

The internet services were suspended following the protests by Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).
The PTA's spokesperson said that internet services in Chowk Yateem Khana and adjoining areas in a radius of 10km have been restored.

Eleven people were killed and 98 injured on Sunday in a train accident in Egypt's Qalioubia province north of Cairo.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with the government, the brotherly people of Egypt and the families of those who have lost their lives," FO said.

Mufti Muneeb announces nationwide shutter down strike in TLP support today

Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman demanded that the arrested TLP workers be released.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Siraj ul Haq also announced that they fully supported Muneeb's call for strike.
CNG and petrol pumps, as well as markets, will remain closed today.

The study found that these variants were responsible for causing 54% of new infections in Pakistan from December 2020 to February in Karachi.
The COVID-19 positivity ratio jumped from 1.538% during November to 7.6% in December 2020 to February 2021.
